Everything you need to order the right quantity and install it yourself — no technician needed. Works for AC units, ledges, railings, parapets, and window sills.
Spikes work on surfaces where birds perch or land. They do not work on open gaps where birds fly through — use a net for those.
Each strip covers 1 running foot. Enter your surface dimensions below to get an exact quantity and product recommendation.

Three products. Different use cases. Choose once and install right.
Self-install in 20–30 minutes. No professional needed. Tools: measuring tape, silicone adhesive or drill (for screw method).
Walk your property and identify every surface where birds perch — AC unit tops, window sills, railings, parapets. For each surface, measure the running length (how long it is) and width (how wide the landing surface is). Write both down.
This is the most skipped step and the main reason spikes fall off. Adhesive will not bond to a dirty, dusty, or wet surface. Clean with a dry cloth first, then wipe with any kitchen surface cleaner or isopropyl alcohol on a rag. Let it dry for 5 minutes before applying spikes.
Both methods work equally well when done correctly. Choose based on your surface and permanence preference.
Place spike strips starting from one end of the surface. Butt each strip flush against the previous one — no gaps. A 1-inch gap is enough for a pigeon to insert its foot and perch. At corners, cut the base strip at 45° with a hacksaw or strong scissors and join the two pieces at the corner.
If using adhesive method — do not touch or test the spike strips for at least 4 hours, ideally 24 hours. Silicone sealant needs time to cure and bond fully. Testing too early is the main reason strips come loose. Once cured, press firmly on the strip — it should not move at all.
Bird spikes are low maintenance but not zero maintenance. A once-a-year check extends their life significantly and keeps them effective.
Different surfaces need slightly different approaches. Find yours below.
